Investment Team

Venture capital investing is the business of partnering with entrepreneurs to build great companies. As such, venture capital investors are best positioned to add value to the business when they bring relevant operating experience and domain expertise to this partnership. Consistent with this philosophy, DFJ Mercury’s Investment Team are venture professionals who possess deep entrepreneurial, operating and investment experience in the technology sectors targeted by the fund.

Operations Team

DFJ Mercury’s Operations Team provides financial, accounting, technical, and back-office support for the DFJ Mercury Funds.  In addition, they provide valuable finance, administrative, and communications assistance for many of DFJ Mercury’s incubated and seed-stage portfolio companies during their formative early years of growth.

Venture Advisors

DFJ Mercury’s Venture Advisors extend the Investment Team’s reach by assisting in deal sourcing, due diligence, and executive roles.  Each of our Venture Advisors brings a unique skill set to the Firm.  Many of these individuals have been successful entrepreneurs and/or C-level technology executives.  Others are preeminent scientific researchers in their respective fields.  All have worked extensively with start-ups and provide DFJ Mercury with additional “bench strength” as it evaluates opportunities throughout the Midcontinent.

Venture Fellows

DFJ Mercury’s Venture Fellows are selected for exceptional promise and a stated interest in both entrepreneurship and venture capital.  Current and past Venture Fellows typically come from top graduate programs in business, engineering or medicine. These individuals serve in an independent role to provide unique insight and background knowledge on potential investments.  The program itself is designed to give Fellows a firsthand experience in the process of investing and growing innovative companies.
